Having started his career in finance and later operations management beyond the past two decades, Mr Lim has experiences in trading, manufacturing, sales & marketing operations, corporate finance and business development.
He joined Emas Kiara, a multidisciplinary geosynthetic manufacturing and engineering construction group in 1995 and was its Group Chief Operating Officer till 2003. Following the public listing of Emas Kiara Industries Berhad Group on Bursa Malaysia in 2004, he was appointed an Executive Director and served as a board member till February 2016.
In 2001, he obtained an Executive Master’s in Business Administration from Greenwich University, Australia. Currently, he is an Executive Director of Carimin Petroleum Berhad, a company listed under Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. Also, he has directorships in several private limited companies which are involved in construction engineering services, investment holding and property development.

Mr. Richard Douglas graduated from the University of Singapore in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Economics and Statistics. He started his career with Abacus Engineering & Trading Pte Ltd as a Management Assistant in 1976. He was appointed as the General Manager of Abacus Corporation Pte Ltd in 1979 and was promoted to Deputy Managing Director in 1982.
He left to start RASWILL Representative Pte Ltd which specialises in research and development and general import and export in 1987. He joined the Emas Kiara Industries Berhad Group as Managing Director of Kiaratex Export Pte Ltd.
He served in the Council of the Southeast Asia Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS), a scientific body coordinating the standard and application science of the geosynthetics industry worldwide.

He has more than fifteen (15) years’ experience in sales & marketing and project management in the construction and building industry.
Prior to joining Emas Kiara, he started his career with Pati Sdn Bhd, (a subsidiary of United Engineer Malaysia Berhad) & later joined UEM Trading (a subsidiary of United Engineer Malaysia Berhad) handling specialist products and special projects. He was with Emas Kiara Marketing Sdn Bhd from 1999 till 2011 before joining Tencate Geosynthetic Malaysia, a multinational company for 2 years duration prior to re-joining the Emas Kiara Group in 2013.

He is the Senior Project Manager responsible for implementation of project construction works for the company. He has extensive experience in civil & structural engineering and geotechnical engineering works in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and India.
He also has professional experience in precast concrete works, being a member of Malaysian CIDB task team involved in the establishing KPI (Key Performance Indicator) for the implementation of Industrialized Building System (IBS) in Malaysia. Prior to joining Emas Kiara, he worked with Zelan, a turn-key construction company specializing in EPCC power-plant construction.
